ABOUT THE PROJECT
Cochrane’s Parks and Recreation Committee has been discussing Cochrane’s off-leash park status, including the number of current off-leash spaces, proposed future parks as per anticipated Neighborhood Plans, recommendations from the Open Space Master Plan, visions of the Off leash Advocacy groups and opposing opinions from some residents, as well as practices and status of off-leash spaces in surrounding municipalities.
The Parks and Recreation Committee discussed the report as a group and agreed upon some criteria for potentially creating off-leash spaces in existing neighborhoods.
