Our goal is to create an age-friendly community where there are no barriers to access services, programs, businesses and facilities. This study, conducted in two phases, will look at transportation, housing, parks and recreation, health services, and civic and social environments. Help us to create a community that is inclusive, accessible, and supportive of all residents, throughout their lifespan. How will your input be used? The results from the survey and focus groups will help guide the development of a plan to become an age-friendly community.

In an age friendly community there are no barriers to access services, programs, businesses and facilities.
Opportunity:
To support building an age-friendly community, Cochrane is developing a plan that will identify infrastructure needs and innovative service delivery models to enhance the breadth, quality and accessibility of services for older adults.
To help create this plan, you are invited to participate in a focus group. We want to understand your experience within Cochrane as you age.
No preparation is required. This session will be highly interactive where you will have an opportunity to learn more about this topic and share your input to help shape Cochrane's efforts in building an age-friendly community.
We need your input! Please take a few moments to participate in the Cochrane Age-Friendly survey. The results from this survey will help guide the development of a plan to become an age-friendly community.
What is an Age-Friendly Community? An age-friendly community is one where all residents can fully participate in their community, regardless of age or ability. In an age-friendly community, age is not a barrier to access services, programs, businesses, or facilities. An age-friendly community is inclusive, accessible, and supportive of all residents, throughout their lifespan.
