ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Town of Cochrane is updating the Zero Waste Framework. The Framework, adopted by Council in 2012, outlines the ways Cochrane can minimize the amount of waste being landfilled through waste reduction, reuse, recycling, redesign, composting and other actions.
Cochrane has made significant progress towards the goals of the Zero Waste Framework and the time has come to update the Framework. We are exploring how, as a community, we can continue to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill and include emerging best practices like reducing single-use items.
As a first step in this update, we are gathering information about current rates of recycling, composting and Eco Centre programs. We are also reaching out to you to help us understand waste diversion from your perspective.
PROVIDE YOUR INPUT
By completing this survey, your input, along with the technical information we collect, will help us develop updated recommendations and best practices for our journey towards zero waste. What we learn will be shared with the community for review and feedback in early 2023.
Thank you for your help.
Survey is now closed. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback!
