We're excited to announce that Cochrane’s 2024 municipal census results are in, and reveal an official population count of 37,011! These results indicate that Cochrane's growth rate remains consistent with previous years—at approximately 5% growth year-over-year since 2011. Read more here.
On the topic of numbers, we're also delighted to announce the winning guess of the Cochrane Prize Pack! One resident made an impressively accurate guess of 36,988. Over 900 people took the time to submit their guesses, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated.

As we kick off the 2024 census survey this April, we're asking residents to guess what our current population is for a chance to win a Cochrane prize pack. Select the 'take survey' button to begin.Learn more about the 2024 census.
