Community activities are an important part of Cochrane’s unique identity. Since these activities occur in many different locations, the Town is exploring opportunities to maximize existing public spaces and create more venues for a variety of community activities.
Cochrane has a unique opportunity to decide what happens on three parcels of land in our downtown core:
- Fifth Avenue site (former location of the Big Hill Leisure Pool and including Cochrane Lions Rodeo Park)
- 1 acre site east of the library
- former Esso Bulk Station site
Council established the Tri-Site Concept Plan Advisory Group to lead the discussion and bring forward a suggested concept before the end of 2018.
